Mercedes is preparing the new generation of the fully electric E-Class, set to replace the EQE starting in 2027. The model moves away from the rounded shapes of the previous EQ models and adopts a traditional three-box design, closer to the combustion version. It will be based on the MB.EA-M platform already used by the electric GLC, with an 800-volt system and charging at up to 350 kW. Range should approach 500 miles in the most efficient versions. It will be offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and will be sold alongside an updated combustion-engine E-Class. The goal is to offer more space, comfort, and a recognizable image, addressing the EQE’s commercial shortcomings.
