The Fiat Top. L is the most radical reinterpretation of the city car born from the collaboration between Fabrizio Giugiaro and Lapo Elkann. Presented at the Turin Auto Show, it becomes a small, fully open two-seat speedster, with no roof and free of superfluous elements. The inspiration looks to the most rebellious sports cars, such as the famous “Little Bastard” driven by James Dean, but without directly echoing its shapes. The body is painted in aquamarine with a matte finish, while the cabin combines leather in the same shade with Alcantara inserts. The result is a Topolino very far removed from its original setup, designed to show that even a simple, accessible city car can become a design object, focusing on emotion more than performance.
