The 2027 Ford F-150 is set to receive several updates before the next-generation model arrives. A new base engine, the 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6, will replace the 2.7-liter engine, offering the same 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. This change is expected to enhance the everyday driving experience, according to Kelly Kohlstrand, the F-150’s chief program engineer. Additionally, the 400-hp 5.0-liter V8 engine will now be available across the entire F-150 lineup, including the King Ranch and Platinum trims.

The powertrain lineup for the 2027 F-150 remains largely unchanged, with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid engines continuing to deliver 425 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque. The F-150 Raptor will retain its high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost and supercharged 5.2-liter V8 in the Raptor R. Aesthetically, the XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models will feature newly designed grilles and wheels with a wider split-bar design, reflecting a fresh look for the truck.

Ford has also expanded its collaboration with Carhartt, introducing the 2027 F-150 Carhartt package. Priced at $4,195, this package is available on 4x4 XLT Crew Cab models and includes unique visual elements such as anodized wheels, Carhartt graphics, and a branded bedliner. The interior boasts a two-tone design with Carhartt-embroidered seats and logo accents on various components. The 2027 F-150 Carhartt is available for order now, with deliveries expected to begin early next year, starting at approximately $65,455.
