Subaru Revives Base Impreza And Lowers Starting Price For 2027
The 2027 Impreza is nearly $2,000 cheaper than the entry-level 2026 model.
- Subaru has revived the Impreza’s base trim for 2027, lowering the model’s starting price.
- The 2027 Impreza will now start at $25,840.
- The Subaru Impreza RS, the only other trim, starts at $30,740.
Last year, Subaru eliminated the base Impreza and made the Impreza Sport more expensive. The move effectively increased the hatchback’s starting price by over $3,000, but the automaker is reviving the cheaper trim for 2027.
The Impreza will now cost $25,840 (all prices include the $1,245 destination charge, up $50 from last year). That makes the 2027 model $1,950 cheaper to start. The only other trim Subaru is offering is the Impreza RS, which starts at $30,740, $50 more than last year.
The 2027 Impreza lineup no longer includes the Sport trim. This previously sat between the base and RS trims back in 2024 before becoming the entry-level trim for 2025. It has a $27,790 starting price for 2026.
| Model | 2027 Price (w dest) | 2026 Price (w/ dest) | Price Difference |
| Impreza (Base) | $25,840 | N/A | -$1,950 |
| Impreza Sport | N/A | $27,790 | N/A |
