En febrero de 2016, el constructor argentino Horacio Pagani presentó el Huayra BC. Fue un homenaje a la memoria del mejor cliente y amigo de Pagani Automobili, el fallecido coleccionista italiano Benny Caiola. Y también fue el primer Pagani auspiciado por la petrolera argentina YPF.
El contrato con YPF ya terminó, pero el recuerdo del empresario inmobiliario Caiola sigue presente. Pagani develó hoy el nuevo Huayra BC Roadster, la versión descapotable de aquella coupé nacida para tener el equilibrio justo entre confort -para disfrutarlo todos los días- y performance en pista.
Sólo se fabricarán 40 ejemplares del BC Roadster, que tendrán un precio de 3.1 millones de euros cada uno (sin impuestos). Lo interesante es que, por primera vez, Pagani Automobili presentó un nuevo modelo para el mundo real, en coordinación con el mundo virtual.
Se firmó una alianza con CSR Racing, para que el Huayra BC Roadster también se pueda manejar en los videojuegos de carreras como CSR2 (disponible en iOS y Android).
Al igual que la versión coupé, el Huayra BC Roadster tiene un motor Mercedes-AMG V12 6.0 biturbo, aunque con un rendimiento superior: 800 caballos de potencia (789 en la Coupé) y 1.050 Nm de torque (contra 811).
El auto pesa sólo 1.250 kilos, gracias al uso de dos nuevos materiales compuestos patentados por Pagani Automobili: Carbo-Triax HP62 y Carbo-Titanium HP62 G2.

This is how, in 2017, the idea of the Huayra Roadster BC came to life. From a curious set of circumstances, a demanding research project was launched with a meticulous, almost obsessive focus on details and design in order to create a highly distinctive, street-legal Pagani hypercar that would combine the unparalleled sensations of driving a roadster with the most advanced technology available today.

San Cesario sul Panaro - July 31st, 2019 Pagani Automobili is pleased to announce the world premiere unveiling of the latest creation of the Atelier, the Huayra Roadster BC, within Zynga’s CSR Racing 2 (CSR2), the world’s most popular mobile drag racing game.
Pagani’s newest model, the result of a continuous and meticulous improvement work that sees the light after years of study and development. This is the first time ever Pagani unveils every detail of the new production car on a game platform. During the event players have a chance to add the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC to their collection. As a final reward, players can win the Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta, to complete their Pagani collection. Using augmented reality, players can also park their Pagani cars in their real-world driveways and open every panel to study the details close up.
