We are thrilled to be able to offer this incredibly original V10 Ford powered Minardi M198 chassis 01. Designed by Gustav Brunner for the small but innovative Italian Minardi team lead by Giancarlo Minardi.
This car was originally driven by Esteban Tuero and Shinji Nakano during the 1998 Formula One season. It was then used in winter testing for new drivers Marc Gene and Luca Badoer later that year.
The livery was then changed by the Minardi team to the 1999 M01 livery. Then shown at pre 1999 season events, after a significant new sponsorship deal for the team was announced with the Spainish Telefonica brand.
This is a very rare opportunity to acquire such an original specification V10 Formula One Car. It comes with all necessary running equipment including laptop and car software, with an option to purchase a significantly larger spares package. This spares package includes two complete gearboxes, wheels, electronics, hydraulics, bodywork, brake parts and much more, making it one of the most comprehensively supported cars we have offered.
This car has recently undergone a comprehensive and documented rebuild carried out by the experienced team at Tour De Force. The original Ford V10 JD Zetec-R engine rebuilt by Langford Performance Engineering.
This would be an ideal car to compete in the Boss GP series or demonstration use. We can also provide recommendations of teams to run the car for you at such events, please contact us for more details.
