Parece un concept. Pero, en realidad, es un Renault. El ojo argentino está algo desacostumbrado al nivel actual de los Renault europeos. Y este modelo que vemos acá es el que más chances tiene de ser producido en el mediano plazo en la Argentina.

Su nombre es Mégane Sedán. Y, en países como el Reino Unido, se llamará Mégane Grand Coupé. En su cuarta generación, el hatchback de Renault para el Segmento C (compacto) vuelve a ofrecer una versión con carrocería de tres volúmenes. Es una costumbre que se había perdido desde el Mégane II Sedán producido en Brasil.

Es que, con la tercera generación del Mégane, Renault inició la tendencia de ofrecer en la Argentina modelos derivados de Dacia y desarrollados para los llamados “mercados emergentes”.

Así fue como llegó a nuestro mercado el Fluence, que tuvo escasa presencia en Europa.

En mercados como Medio Oriente y Europa del Este, el Fluence comenzará a ser reemplazado por este Mégane Sedán o Grand Coupé. Se producirá en la planta de Bursa, en Turquía. Y, a diferencia del Fluence, abastecerá a países donde no llegó su antecesor: Inglaterra, Irlanda, Italia y Australia.

La plataforma es la conocida del Mégane IV, que por el momento no llegó a la Argentina. El sedán tiene un baúl de 508 litros y comparte motorizaciones ya conocidas del hatchback: nafteras y turbodiesel, de entre 90 y 130 caballos de potencia, con cajas automáticas de hasta siete velocidades.

La llegada del Mégane Sedán a la Argentina todavía no está confirmada. Pero debería ser el camino lógico si Renault deseara, en algún momento, volver a ofrecer en nuestro mercado los mismos modelos que alguna vez compartió con Europa.

After the reveal of All-New Mégane in 2015 and All-New Mégane Sport Tourer in March 2016, All New Mégane Grand Coupé is the latest model in the Mégane family.

The new four-door saloon is part of the renewal of the Renault range. All New Mégane Grand Coupé benefits from the cost-cutting CMF C/D architecture (Common Module Family) and brings motorists the same driving pleasure and superior features as the rest of the Mégane family, including a 7-inch colour TFT instrument panel, an 8.7-inch multimedia tablet, R-Link 2, Multi-Sense, Easy Park Assist and an extensive line-up of additional comfort equipment and driving aids such as Advanced Emergency Braking System and Lane Departure Warning. All New Mégane Grand Coupé meets the expectations of customers looking for a stylish vehicle with refined features.

Depending on the country, the engine range comprises of two petrol engines:

The SCe 115, available with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT)
The TCe 130, available with a 7-speed dual-clutch EDC automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox

Three diesel engines are available, also depending on the country:

The dCi 90, available with a 6-speed manual gearbox
The dCi 110, available with a 6-speed manual gearbox or the EDC 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox
The dCi 130, available with a 6-speed manual gearbox

All New Mégane Grand Coupé will be produced at the Bursa plant in Turkey and sold in more than 20 countries around the world*.
